Gran Turismo MC Stradale
Car manufacturers often create sports versions of their most prestigious models. Their usual strategy is to up the power and add aesthetic details like a new spoiler to accentuate the sporty look of the original model. This is not what Maserati has done; for Maserati, even the harmony of a car’s lines signifies luxury.

INTERIOR
The interior of the GranTurismo MC Stradale is a unique environment - a delicate balance of luxury and excitement. «We wanted to create a cockpit that reflected Maserati’s and this pinnacle car’s racing DNA, without sacrificing the sense of refinement, luxury and craftsmanship that is the essence of a Maserati», says Danila Giordano, one of Maserati’s interior designers.

TECHNOLOGY
Under the skin, Maserati engineers have reduced energy losses by introducing one-way flaps inside the engine’s oil sump and using diamond-like coating on the tappets and the camshaft lobes. The result is more power from the 4.7-litre V8 engine. The MC Stradale generates 330 kW of power at 7000 rpm, 7 kW more than the GranTurismo S, and 20 Nm more torque – 510 Nm at 4750 rpm. There is a steeper torque curve at lower revs.

TYRES
The GranTurismo MC Stradale rides on new, custom-developed tyres. The 20-inch PZero Corsa tyres were jointly designed by Pirelli and Maserati to create maximum grip in both wet and dry conditions on the track but also offer a smooth, assured grand tourer “feel” on the road.
